Outside

The Surf
Troncones is surrounded by a surf-rich area known for fun year-round waves and breaks for all styles and abilities. You’ll find waves all year long, but the most consistent time is when the S/SW swells roll in between April and October. There are plenty of beach break peaks along the three-mile stretch of Troncones, but the right reef at the south end is the standout in a moderate SW swell. Other nearby winners are Manzanillo, the epic long lefts at La Saladita, and consistent rights and lefts at The Ranch (fastest access is by boat).
