Additional reef, point, and beach breaks throughout the region provide opportunities for everything from relaxed sessions to more powerful, advanced surf.
Golfers can enjoy Guacalito Golf Course, a celebrated oceanfront course designed by renowned architect David McLay Kidd. Beginning deep within the forest and finishing along the sandy shoreline, the course follows the property’s natural contours and offers an engaging challenge for players of all skill levels.

The Surf
With more than 300 days of offshore winds each year, Nicaragua is known for consistent surf throughout the year. The largest and most powerful swells typically arrive from March through September, when south swells bring shoulder-high to overhead waves and standout breaks can reach double overhead or larger.
The Emerald Coast offers a variety of waves for all experience levels. Beginners can learn at gentler breaks, intermediates can progress on playful peaks and open-faced waves, and advanced surfers can seek out punchy beach breaks and barrels.
