The Surf
North Shore Oahu and its 7-mile miracle is a true surfer’s paradise. With a tropical climate, turquoise warm water, and over a dozen epic world-class breaks to choose from, it’s no wonder this quaint stretch of countryside coast has become a world-famous surf mecca.
The house has two surf breaks right out front: Freddieland (great for beginners and intermediates) and Velzyland (advanced surfers only). Backyards and Sunset are around the corner, and it’s a short 5 – 10 minute drive to multiple other famed North Shore surf breaks like Rocky Point, Gas Chambers, Pipeline, and Off-The-Wall.

For intermediate surfers, personalized in-water coaching will help you get dialed into the waves on offer, up your wave count, and help you progress faster than ever.
For advanced surfers ready to experience North Shore bombs, our surf guides will help you find the best conditions, navigate competitive lineups, and score more waves. Tow-in excursions are available.
Your Luxury Beachfront Villa
Tucked away in the private beachfront community of Sunset Beach Colony, this 4-bedroom villa sits on a gated lush acre of land on one of the most beautiful and quiet beaches on the North Shore. This stretch of beach is always uncrowded, it has wonderful swimming spots (even in the winter), and surfers can take advantage of two surf breaks basically at your doorstep.
With open spaces featuring traditional Hawaiian materials such as teak, bamboo, and lava rock, this 5,000-square-foot home takes full advantage of its amazing beachfront locale. Large windows on all sides allow natural light and fragrant breezes to flow through, and huge glass sliding doors give way to sweeping views of the turquoise Pacific.
The house features four bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and comes outfitted with everything you need for a relaxed surf vacation in paradise.

The second floor showcases a large master suite on the entire upstairs level. The master suite includes a king bed, walk-in closet, office area, full bathroom with large soaking tub, 60″ TV, and a large private balcony with incredible ocean views. On the main floor, there is another suite with a king bed, and two bedrooms with queen beds. Each bedroom has a private bathroom and balcony.
The King Room downstairs features a king size bed, TV, private lanai, and a full ensuite bathroom with double sinks.
Queen Room 1 features a queen bed, full closet, ensuite bathroom, and shares a private patio with the bedroom next door.

Lush Palm hosts small group surf retreats and also plans private surf trips for groups and families. Lush Palm Signature Oahu is a private surf trip designed for 4 – 8 guests. The Lush Palm Team plans, organizes, and provides support for your trip, however, this trip is self-guided and your group will have the beachfront villa to yourselves.
* Note: There is an on-site property manager, however, his unit is completely separate and has no adjoining walls to the main house. He is there for check-in and to assist you in any way during your stay. He is quiet, respectful, and inconspicuous.

Yes! The North Shore is a wonderful location for a family vacation – there are lots of fun activities for kids and we can organize fantastic surf lessons for kids. And if you’re traveling with young children, we’ll let you know all about the best beaches with calm safe waters to play in.
This beachfront villa is also a fantastic location for kids with a grassy lawn to play on, and a sandy beach right out front with great swimming spots (even when there are waves elsewhere). There is also a pack ’n play/travel crib and a high chair.
Absolutely, YES! We welcome beginner surfers – whether you’ve taken 2 lessons or have never touched a surfboard in your life. We believe that surf trips with skilled surf coaches are the best way to build a solid foundation to learn how to surf. We’d love to help you get started on your surfing journey (and have a blast along the way).
The only real requirement for safety reasons is that you need to know how to swim.
While many of the most famous surf breaks in the area are for advanced surfers only,
there are multiple really fun breaks suitable for beginners and intermediates. October is one of the best months on the North Shore for beginner and intermediate surfers, as it’s a transitional time at the start of the surf season.
You can expect foodie-approved delicious and nutritious meals by our team of private chefs. The menu strikes a balance between fresh hearty eats to power your surf sessions, to more indulgent savory dishes.

Fly into Honolulu International Airport (HNL), and pick up your rental car at the airport (which is included and organized for you). The drive to the villa on the North Shore takes about an hour (and can vary depending on traffic).
- To secure your reservation, a 15% deposit of the total trip cost is due at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due no later than 90 days before the trip check-in date.
- If you’re booking a trip within 90 days of the check-in date, then the total trip cost is due to confirm your reservation.
- Cancellations can be made up to 90 days before your check-in date, minus a 6% processing fee. Cancellations made 89 days or less before your check-in date are nonrefundable.
- Reservation dates can be modified without penalty up to 90 days before your check-in date, subject to availability.
